Antarctica Feb 15-27/2025
Antarctica is indeed a dream adventure! But rather than a usual cruise ship tour, we invite you to join our extraordinary sailing expedition.
What makes it special?
Well, besides being on the edge of the world and witnessing the most epic landscapes, icebergs, and wildlife, let me tell you:
Drake Passage Dodging Delight: Who needs the 3-4 day rollercoaster ride of the Drake Passage when you can catch a quick flight from Punta Arenas to King George Island? Say goodbye to seasickness and hello to instant Antarctic immersion!
Close-Knit Crew: Picture yourself aboard the cozy schooner Amazone, with just 17 fellow adventurers. It's like a big family adventure, complete with inside jokes, shared stories, and maybe even a bit of friendly competition for the best wildlife snapshots!
Off-the-Beaten-Path Excursions: Forget about following the crowd. With our nimble schooner, we can sail right up to hidden coves and secluded beaches where big cruise ships dare not tread. It's all about exploring untouched corners of Antarctica and discovering its hidden gems.

ITENERARY
DAY 1–2: GETTING TOGETHER IN PUNTA ARENAS AND FLIGHT THROUGH DRAKE PASSAGE
On the first day of the expedition, we gather in Punta Arenas, Chile, and check into our hotel. The next morning, we embark on our flight to Antarctica with DAP Airlines. The flight duration is 2 hours. The plane will take us to King George Island, home to the Bellingshausen Station, where the schooner Amazone awaits us. Upon arrival, participants board the vessel, settle into their cabins, and get acquainted with the ship and crew. After a welcoming address from the captain, the crew will provide safety instructions. We'll then gather for a communal dinner, get to know each other better, and organize our watch schedules. Tonight, we embark on our first voyage into the sea. The expedition begins!
DAY 3–10: ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION ON THE SCHOONER AMAZONE
From day 3 to 10 of the expedition, we will explore the most stunning locations of the Antarctic Peninsula aboard the schooner Amazone: we'll get as close as possible to the blue icebergs, listen to the creaking of ancient glaciers, visit scientific stations and meet polar researchers, venture into the caldera of a dormant volcano on Deception Island, and delve into the history of whaling. We'll have the chance to observe thousands of penguins, and if we're lucky, even spot whales from the deck of the schooner.
As part of our expeditions, we engage in scientific research activities using the Citizen Science approach: we collect water samples for microplastics analysis, measure carbon dioxide levels, and observe mammals. Each expedition participant is welcome to take part in these studies and contribute to scientific research, if they wish.
DAY 11-13: RETURN FLIGHT TO PUNTA ARENAS
On the evening of the 10th day, the vessel will arrive at King George Island. Weather permitting, the following day, participants will take the return flight to Punta Arenas, Chile, and stay overnight in a hotel for one night.
